Business Assurance

  • Partnership assurance and keyman
    Cover which can incorporate the following:
    • Whole of life cover.
      A policy of assurance that runs until the death of the life assured.
    • Disability Cover.
      Protects your ability to earn income should you become disabled for an extended period. This is paid out in a lump sum.
    • Dread Disease cover.
      An insurance policy effected to payout in the event of the life assured contracting a dread disease i.e. cancer, heart attack, stroke or heart failure.
    • Income protection.
      Provides a monthly income in the event of temporary or permanent disablement. Income normally ceases at age 65.

  • Group Risk Benefit Fund.
    A company owned fund available to all staff of an entity and offering the following benefits at very competitive rates.
    • Group life cover.
      (usually 3 -7 times annual salary)
    • Group disability cover.
      (usually 3-7 times annual salary)
    • Income protection.
      (temporary or permanent disability with a one to three month waiting period. Pays 75% of gross income with an annual escalation, if selected, to age 65.)

  • Group Retirement Schemes.
    A company owned fund available to all staff of an entity and is available under any of the following:
    • A group retirement annuity scheme.
    • A pension fund.
    • A provident fund.

  • Preferred and deferred compensation schemes.
    Available as a reward system for long serving staff members and key staff members. Generally used as a system to encourage staff retention and to discourage opposition companies from poaching key staff. Funded by an investment or endowment policy.

  • Company owned investment or endowment policies.
    A fund taken out by a company to allow for future capital expenditure, new plant , machinery etc. This can be funded by a lump sum investment or a recurring premium investment or both.

  • Group medical benefit funds.
    A medical benefit fund which is available to all members of staff of an entity, Such a fund can include
    • Medical gap cover.
      Top up cover for all members of staff and their families in the event of medical aid shortfalls.
    • Medical premium waiver.
      Waiver of premium for all staff members in the event of their death disability or suffering from a dreaded disease thus ensuring free medical cover for them and their families for up to five years.
