At the end of 1999 Phoenix Financial Services effectively amalgamated with Johann Buitendag Financial Brokers cc and the two companies became Phoenix Financial Services cc. The business of both companies was then marketed by the founder of Phoenix Financial Services, John Tomlinson. The company has an extensive client base stretching from Cape Town to Durban and further inland. The business model uses all state of the art technology to help provide top quality service to its many clients. In 2009 the company went through a name change to Sedgefield Financial Services cc as one of its former members left to pursue other interests and the remaining member, John Tomlinson, felt it more prudent to give the business a typographical name which identified it within its community, thus establishing a brand for the Garden Route area. Sedgefield Financial Services now offers the full spectrum of Insurance Products, Life Cover, Disability, Dread Disease, Investments, Health Care, Medical Gap Cover and Corporate Benefits.
